World"s Birds

Love the BIRD AND Save the BIRD .
The birds in the world are in denger due to several natural and humanitarian cause. Hundreds and thousands species of birds are thretened to extinct from the world.
Brazil tops the lists 141 while India is ranked 7th with 88 species. Of the 88 thretened species in India that includes migratory , 13 are categorised as critically endenger (facing an extrimly high risk of extinction in the wild ), 10 as endenger (facing a very high risk of extinction in the wild), and remaining as vulnerable. Two of the species Bare"s pochard (Aythya baeri) and spoon- billed sandpiper (Eurynorhynchus pygmeus) have been uplisted, from vulnerable to endenger and from endenger to critically endenger respectively.
In 2008, 1226 species of bird in the world now threatened and 8 species newly uplisted critically endenger, the highest threat category.
Bird Life International says climate change has become firmly establish as an accelerant to many of the factors which have put one in eight of the worlds birds at risk of extinction. Longterm drought and sudden extreme weather are putting additional stress on the pockets of habbitat that may threaten species depend on.
In Australia, Mallee Emuwren (Stipiturus mallee) is under going a very rapid population decline (100 birds confined to 100 km strech) and its habitat is now so fragmented that a single bushfire could be catastrophic.
In Gallapagos Island, Floreana Mockingbird (Nesomimus trifasciatus) is confined to 2 islets off Floreana . Its population has declined from as estemeted maximum of 150 individual in 1966 to fewer than 60.
Yet there is some good news. Two species whose situation has improved are Marquesan Imperial-pigeon(Ducula galeata), and little spotted kiwi (Apteryx owenii) , both beneficiaries of conservation.
So ,please conserve the birds in the world because it is a humanitarian work for the nature and for our own EARTH.
